175 years ago, the first railway line in Switzerland, Zurich – Baden, was ceremoniously inaugurated on 7 August. On 5 August 1847, the management of the Swiss Northern Railway Company (SNB) announced that the first railway line, Zurich – Baden, would be opened to public transport four days later.
